The above map of the world, drawn by Facebook data structuring intern Paul Butler using connections between 10 million Facebook friends, is interesting enough in itself until you realize that all of the country borders are entirely drawn using Facebook friend connections too. Even if the world was dark and totally unmapped, Facebook could produce a remarkably good approximation of most of its continents’ boundaries, and even the borders of some countries.
My inner-geek is dancing right now. This is not only beautiful, but the idea of the world being fully connected kicks the shit outta Kevin Bacon.
Happy 20th Birthday to the University of Delaware Deltones.
We are more than a coed a cappella group - We are family.
Our motto “Friends First, Singers Second” has echoed throughout our history. This sentiment has been our lifeblood for the last 20 years. It carries an infectious beat that has captivated the hearts, minds, and ears of our friends and family. We have woven a web of support that is attached to all of our heart strings. It is designed to catch those that fall and is designed to push us forward. We all know that the web exists and that makes it easier for us to take risks. Knowing that someone will pick you up and carry you when you fall flat on your face allows you to try to jump higher, run faster, and reach for the stars. Let’s keep the legacy going. Happy Birthday. GPOYW: Awkward Highschool pictures version.
Ummm, is this really me?
Guaranteed, I was that obnoxious, loud, high school clown annoying anyone over the age of 17.
What I would give for some stylish lederhosen right about now.
GPOYW: Past Halloween Costumes
I’m just going to say it: This costume was probably the best one I have made.
It’s just a WIN. A complete win.
Crabfest in 2 Hours
The Klondike Kate’s Crabfest may possibly be one of the best events of the summer. We book our seats months in advance just to have the opportunity to devour these tasty crustaceans and drink as much beer as possible. Let’s just say that I won’t be able to ride my bicycle home tonight, I will be walking it home.
The highlight of the night is the obligatory Beer fight, a guaranteed grand ole time!. We are sure to have tons of laughs.
Also, Rumor has it I will get to see Snack Pack tonight! woot
